This week in the gym we began the first of two acc This week in the gym we began the first of two accumulation phases before we return to max strength variables. This new program follows unconventional sequencing. This, simply put, means that I have switched the order of exercises to smaller, isolated movements first followed by larger compound exercises second. The reasoning behind this is twofold. It means we can pre-fatigue smaller muscles used in bigger exercises later in the workout. Secondly, we can focus on these smaller muscle groups that conventionally come later in the sequence and train them when we are fresh thus improving muscle gain and functionality and ‘bring up’ weaker body parts. I learnt this style of programming from the oracle @tonyboutagy Here’s @mark_coveney1983 busting out some band resisted Romanian deadlifts which appear later in the sequence of exercises on Day 2.
