Adult and childhood obesity is widespread in Australia and throughout the rest of the world. The World Health Organization has declared it a ‘global epidemic’.
If you are the parent or guardian of an overweight or obese child you are not alone. In Australia, one in every five children are overweight or obese. Evidence suggests that these children have a 40 – 70% chance of becoming obese adults. Sedentary activities involving electronic media are gaining in popularity leaving less and less time for active pursuits.
Ensuring that your son or daughter is active for the recommended amount of time can be difficult.
This is where we can help. Our trainers stimulate kids and teens to develop and maintain fit bodies. We encourage a positive self-image based on being healthy rather than super model or body builder examples.
Our sessions focus on developing: cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, motor skills, balance and coordination.
We use games, circuits, skipping, relays, ball sports, boxing and kicking activities. All of this in a fun, safe fully supervised non-threatening environment.
Kids of 11 and up can join our outdoor groups or we can cater to younger clients in one on one sessions.
